Fanuc group rebrands UK operations under Fanuc UK

Fanuc is re-aligning its three UK divisions under one brand, calling itself Fanuc UK Limited.

It means that Fanuc Robotics, Fanuc FA and Fanuc Robomachine are now all under the umbrella of Fanuc UK. The company says the need for a rebrand stems from the relocation of a number of employees to the company's head office facility in Coventry, as well as being "driven by customer demands". Chris Sumner, the managing director of the new Fanuc UK, says: "The realignment of our UK business allows us to improve our customer service offering while delivering a more integrated solution to meet our customers' needs. "Our goal is that whenever anyone thinks of factory automation, they think of Fanuc UK." Fanuc now employs 6,500 people world-wide. Based at the foot of Mt Fuji, near Lake Yamanaka in Japan, its factory uses over 2,000 Fanuc robots to support a monthly production capacity of 30,000 CNC controllers, 5,000 robots, 250,000 servo and spindle motors, 5,000 robomachines and 350 CO2 lasers.
