The laser marking specialist, Electrox, will show its new EMS Workstations in action at MACH 2014.

The EMS Workstation range was only launched in late 2013, but is already proving its versatility in automotive, metalworking and tooling sectors, says Electrox. The range is made up of the EMS 100, the EMS 200 and the EMS 300. All three can be customised with optional accessories including rotary axes, XY tables and machine vision systems. The EMS 100 has a lift-up door and a laser-safe viewing window and fume extraction port, ensuring the whole marking process is safe. It is Windows compatible and can be programmed via a computer. The EMS 200 has a wraparound door and has flexible access to assist with marking of unusually shaped or cumbersome items. A programmable Z-axis for automatic focus height control is standard. The EMS 300 Workstation is for marking larger components. It is equipped with an automatic, pneumatically-controlled door and removable side panels. Optionally, it is available with XY table or a programmable Z-axis for automatic focusing. Electrox's best-selling fibre lasers will also be on show at MACH - the Raptor and Scorpion Rapide – and both have had software improvements. It's recently-launched Scorpion Rapide M will be there too – this is a mobile machine aimed at manufacturers whose products are too large or unwieldy to move to a laser-marking area in their factory.
