Dugard appoints two new area sales managers

Dugard has appointed two new area sales managers with the South West of England and South Wales now covered by Steve Brown while Steve Alker takes over the Midlands and Mid Wales region.

Mr Brown and Mr Alker are joining the already established team of John Morning (Scotland), Nick Gunning (North of England), Paul Wallace (South East) and John Bellows (South). Dugard is based in purpose-built 30,000 sq ft showrooms and offices in Hove, Sussex. From 1985, a number of exclusive agencies for CNC products were established and continue to be a major part of the company's turnover. Dugard is a major importer of machine tools from Taiwan, China, Korea, Germany, Poland, Spain and the Czech Republic. In addition to new CNC machine tools Dugard are very active in the supply of used machines and are one of the largest stockists of new and used machine tools in Europe. In recent years the company has developed significant export sales and established other sites, employing 70 people in Poland, Taiwan and joint venture companies in Russia and Dubai to exploit the growing market of Eastern Europe and the Middle East. With an annual group turnover of £25 million, Dugard combines corporate strength with the personal touch of a family concern run by brothers Bob and Eric Dugard, chairman and managing director respectively. Fifty three people operate from the company's Hove showroom which offers full facilities for sales, training, engineering applications and service.
