The second annual ‘Driving Technological change’ event will take place at Silverstone circuit on Wednesday 1st July.  This follows the success of last year’s event which generated over £2 million worth of investment.

The event highlights the UK's strength in multi-discipline high performance technology, including motorsport, automotive and linked sectors.

Hosted by Joe Greenwell, CEO, Automotive Investment Organisation and former chairman of Ford, the event will celebrate the major significance of the UK's motorsport, automotive, and engineering industry to a national and international audience, as well as looking at new opportunities for growth.

Leading experts in the field will be delivering seminars based on the transferability of technologies. Major topics include how motorsport technology is driving innovation in the wider automotive sector and beyond, with intelligent transport networks and autonomous vehicles, new powertrain technology, the evolution of engine downsizing, advances in energy capture and the application of smart components and materials, as well as government support for new technologies.

Attending companies will be able to 'meet the buyer', a unique opportunity to network with the 15 international visiting companies, who will also be taking part in a three day technology tour, meeting leading UK engineering companies.
