‘Design a Plaque’ student competition

Delcam and Bloodhound SSC (the 1,000 mph land speed record project) are running a competition for students to design the brass plaques that will be presented to the schools who are supporting the project.

The students will use Delcam's ArtCAM software to design the plaques and the winners will receive an invitation to watch the Bloodhound SSC test run in Cornwall in 2015, together with an adult companion, prior to the attempt to set a new world land speed record of 1,000 mph in South Africa in 2016. The competition is separated into three education segments, with primary school pupils designing the plaque for Bloodhound Schools, secondary school students creating a plaque for Bloodhound Teaching Schools, and college and sixth-form students competing to produce the plaque for Bloodhound Hubs. The ArtCAM software they'll be using is available for free download from the www.artcam.com/education website.
