1 min read

Ward CNC will be displaying at least six lathes and CNC turning centres at MACH 2010, stand 5350, with several of them under power and cutting.

Being demonstrated under power, the Hyundai-Kia SKT 180 TTSY CNC turning centre with Y-axis has a maximum 230 mm turning diameter and 700 mm length. The 65 mm bar capacity machine has spindle speeds of 5,000 rpm and boasts a 12-tool station on each turret. Also under power, the SKT 2100 multi-tasking mill-turn centre with Y-axis has a maximum 240 mm turning diameter and 530 mm length. This 65 mm bar capacity machine has spindle speeds of 4,000 rpm (main spindle), 6,000 rpm (sub-spindle) and features a 12-tool station turret. Also under power, the 65 mm bar capacity SKT-200 2-axis lathe has a maximum 290 mm turning diameter and 300 mm length, with spindle speeds of 4,000 rpm from a 15 kW motor. The SKT-400LC 2-axis lathe has a maximum turning diameter of 630 mm and length of 2,150 mm. This 117 mm bar capacity machine has spindle speeds of 2,000 rev/min from a 37 kW motor. The Hyundai-Kia SKT-300 2-axis CNC lathe has a maximum turning diameter of 560 mm and length of 720 mm. This 90 mm bar capacity machine has spindle speeds of 2,500 rpm from a 26 kW motor. The Hankook Protec 9NC x 4000 heavy-duty flat bed lathe. This large-capacity machine has a maximum turning diameter of 950 mm and length of 3,845 mm, with spindle speeds of 630 rpm from a 30 kW motor. Completing Ward CNC's turning display, and also under power, will be the Hankook VTC-100 compact, high-performance vertical lathe. This has a 1,000 mm diameter table and a maximum turning diameter of 1,250 mm and height of 800 mm. The machine can accommodate workpieces weighing 4,000 kg, has a 30/37 kW main motor and an ATC of 24 tools. [Products covered: CNC turning centres, lathes]
