TOS Kurim launched the FUT Series table ram type horizontal machining centres at EMO 2015 in Milan last year. The machine is built on separate longitudinal and transverse bases in the form of the letter T; the table travels on one base, the milling column on the other. Two models are now available: the FUT 150 and 200. Across both models, travels range from 2,000 – 6,000 mm in X; 2,000- 3,000 in Y, and 1,500 – 2,000 mm in Z. Feed rates are up to 30,000 mm/min in X, Y and Z. Three sizes of turntables are available. Spindle output is 37 kW, and the column comes with automatic exchangeable milling heads.
Other TOS Kurim machine tools include floor-type horizontal machining centres and double column travelling gantry machines with X axes up to 24,000 mm. A joint venture with Czech company CKD Blansko has developed a range of heavy duty vertical CNC turning centres, with maximum diameter of 16 m.
Other Axe & Status brands include lathes from Accuway, Massa, Polygim, Tuscan and Tuscan Savana, and milling machines from Eumach and Target.
