Avon CNC to represent Manurhin and Lehmann

1 min read

Avon CNC has an agreement with sliding-head machine manufacturer Manurhin, to represent their range of CNC turning machines in the UK.

Warwick-based Avon CNC has been appointed as the UK agent for Lehmann indexers and Manurhin sliding-head lathes. Switzerland-headquartered Lehmann is a second-generation family company and manufactures a large range of rotary tables and 4/5th axis indexers up to a maximum of 6 m diameter. France-headquartered Manurhin is a long established brand, now part of the Czech Tajmac group with over 1800 employees. (Incidentally, the Tajmac group also owns multi-spindle auto specialist Wickman Coventry, which recently acquired the Tangi-Flow brand.) Avon CNC, formed in 2004 by proprietor Chris Brown, claims to be exclusively the only UK agent with factory-trained Lehmann technicians, and can carry out repairs onsite in the UK or, in cases where that is not possible, arrange swift repair at Lehmann's facility in Paris. OEM parts are available from Paris and can be on site for 9 am next day, if required. In the case of Manurhin, Avon CNC will be able to provide advice on machine selection, while also relying on the back-up that such a major group as Tajmac can provide, both in terms of pre-sales and after sales support, it is said. There are five models of machine, from the 26 mm bar diameter K'MX First to the 32 mm bar diameter K'MX XL 32.
