DMG (UK) is now providing a complete service from its Luton headquarters through its DMG Automation division for the supply of modular, proven technology automation packages for its range of milling, turning and laser machining equipment.
The new division is able to provide, from a single source, standard or modular packages right through to fully integrated turnkey systems. These can range from simple automated pallet and robot loaded systems through to flexible manufacturing cells and systems.
Systems can involve robotics and gantry loaders and even incorporate workpiece manipulation, cleaning, quality and inspection with automated feedback and sub-assembly type requirements for components.
In addition to standardised automation packages for the DMG range of CTX multi-axis lathes, DMU, DMC and HMC machining centres, parts storage and manipulation and integrated robotic solutions can be incorporated to perform a variety of normally off-line processes - on parts weighing up to 500 kg - such as measurement, special chamfering operations and assembly, say of bushes prior to final machining.
Modular pallet systems accommodating part cleaning, labelling, measurement and additional production processes can be integrated as well as machine tool operations involving customer defined requirements such as encoding. Linear pallet storage systems having up to five levels can be provided with comprehensive management and recording software supplied.
