Ajax Open House underlines competitive technology

Ajax Machine Tools is to stage a three-day Open House at its Lymington, Hampshire showroom between 25-27 September, featuring a range of CNC machine tools and accessories.
The company will demonstrate a selection from its wide range of competitively priced CNC vertical machining centres, CNC bed mills, CNC slant bed and flat bed lathes, plus two cylindrical and surface grinders under customer acceptance trials.
"This will be an ideal time to view our latest range of machines, plus our extensive portfolio of manual equipment and accessories," explains managing director William Savin. "Most important for the UK market is our appointment by MK to represent them for their wide range of chucking equipment that is available on short delivery."
Ajax will also be showing examples from its Ajax Arboga, polishing, off-hand grinding, pipe centreless and pipe notching machinery."
Machines under power include the high speed and compact Ajax AJV 700 VMC available in a ready-to-run package with Heidenhain control for under £50,000; the Ajax ACE AJSB 200S slant bed lathe with 200 mm chuck starting at under £37,000 and for just £47,000 with the 51 mm bar specification.
A new AJCBM750 bed mill is being launched with Heidenhain TNC 320 control for under £32,000 and visitors will be able to view an AJG38 cylindrical grinder with 360 mm grinding diameter by 1,000 mm between centres and AJ-600HD surface grinder with 610 mm by 305 mm grinding capacity by 590 mm vertical downfeed. Both these machines will be under customer acceptance trials during the event.
