Addition to Seco Tools' education and training resources

1 min read

Seco Tools' education and training resources for metalcutting professionals is extended by a new, comprehensive book written by engineering guru Jan-Eric Stahl, Professor of Production Materials Engineering at Sweden's Lund University.

It is said to provide a unique overview and explanation of the key theories in metalcutting and how they can and should be applied in practice. Titled 'Metal Cutting: Theories and Models', it will be of particular interest to manufacturing professionals (especially users of cutting tools), teachers of metalcutting courses, Masters and PhD students and, indeed, anyone with a keen interest in wanting to know more about the foundations and best practice models for metal cutting. Author Jan-Eric Stahl, Professor of Production Materials Engineering at Lund University (Sweden), explains his rationale behind writing the book: "Knowledge and understanding of metalcutting has, until now, been fragmented. My intention in writing the book was to bring all of these disparate strands together." Professor Stahl has worked closely with Seco for many years, and has played a pivotal role in educating company employees (at home and overseas) on metalcutting. Copies of Professor Stahl's book are available from Seco Tools (UK, 01789 764341).
