WavyJoint sees new brazing technology employed delivering increased machining efficiency, namely a maximum depth of cut up to 0.8 mm and reduced number of passes to increase productivity.
The innovative WavyJoint brazing technology prevents the CBN tips from debrazing, eliminating abrupt insert fractures during demanding dry machining, while securing stable and predictable hard turning operations. The inserts boast four cutting edges.
With a single piece of CBN on two opposed corners stretching the full depth of the insert, the CBN tip mass is up to 200x that of others, providing increased thermal conductivity and helping to reduce the temperature at the cutting edge. Additionally, the brazing area is Increased 160%, delivering enhanced brazing strength.
