ITC appoints applications engineer to support north

Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC) has appointed applications engineer Gary Murrey to its growing team. In line with the company’s expansion strategy, which has seen year-on-year sales increases exceeding 15% over the past five years, Murrey will support the sales efforts of northern area technical sales engineers, Jason Clark and Gary Heaney.

Murrey has almost 30 years of experience that includes an apprenticeship as a machinist at shipbuilder Vosper Thornycroft, and lengthy periods as a five-axis machinist and programmer with GE Aviation. He was also a production and applications engineer with the 600 Group and a senior manufacturing engineer at VTL, and had almost five years as a technical sales engineer for cutting tool manufacturers and distributors in the northwest.

Commenting upon Murrey’s appointment, ITC’s managing director Peter Graves says: “ITC has always prided itself on the turnaround times of UK-manufactured standard and special tools, and this is underpinned by unparalleled levels of service. Having an engineer of Gary’s calibre and background will certainly enhance customer support levels and provide end users in the north with a platform for improved machining and cutting tool performance. Gary will work in close collaboration with the technical sales engineers to establish relationships and create a foundation for the next step in ITC’s growth strategy.”
