ULTRACUT 755 beats hard water problems

Superior lubricant performance and corrosion resistance - even in hard water areas - is now a realitywith ULTRACUT 755, a cutting fluid that provides superior performance in medium and severe cutting operations on a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Containing EP additives designed to improve tool life when machining hard metals, ULTRACUT 755 can deliver significant savings on tool spend, as Cambridgeshire-based Anglia Circuits Engineering has already discovered. The firm was instrumental in the development of the new cutting fluid and is now reaping the benefits, according to Anglia Circuits Engineering’s machine shop manager, Graham Fenn: “We operate in a hard water area and we were experiencing significant problems with our cutting fluid, ranging from bad odours to tool corrosion and poor sump life of less than four months. “We ran ULTRACUT 755 at our machine shop during its development phase, starting nine months ago. Since then, we’ve significantly extended sump life - the fluid is still performing well with no bad odours - and corrosion is no longer an issue with our machine tools. We’ve also seen a significant improvement on our roll tapping operations, with excellent performance down to M2.5 taps.”
