Seco adds boring heads and chuck to EPB line

Seco Tools has extended its EPB product line with the launch of EPB 610 rough boring heads for the simplification of holemaking processes, as well as the EPB 5835 hydraulic chuck. The latter is said to bring strength, rigidity and high metal removal rates to rough milling applications.

EPB 610 rough boring heads come in four sizes with diameters ranging from 39 to 115 mm. They feature a special push/pull mechanism that claims to simplify the diameter setting process. The boring heads can perform symmetrical and staggered operations, as well as take depths of cut up to two-thirds of insert width. For rough milling operations that require strong chip removal, the EPB 5835 hydraulic chuck is suitable for use with tool diameters from 3 to 32 mm. The chuck features a shorter body length and larger outside diameter in comparison with traditional holders, says Seco.
