Metrolog XG software now fully compatible with Renishaw PH20 probe head

3D inspection software solutions company Metrologic has released details of what it claims is a technological breakthrough capable of increasing the productivity of any CNC CMM, irrespective of make, size or model.

The Metrologic ME5009 digital controller now has full integration and compatibility with the Renishaw PH20 probe head and Metrolog XG software. The company says that use of its proven communication and calibration algorithms ensures optimal probing speed and reduced measuring time on all applications. According to Iain Caville, managing director of Metrologic's UK partner, Measurement Solutions, this provides the answer for customers wanting both to improve the performance of their CMMs by introducing new probing technologies and have a totally compatible hardware and software solution. Besides the PH20 probe head, the ME5009 controller is also compatible with most other probing technologies, including contact and the latest 3D laser scanning probes, such as the advanced Kreon Zephyr II. Measurement Solutions says for new customers, retrofit packages consist of a new DCC controller that can be easily installed on any make or model of CMM, plus Metrolog XG software. This is fully customisable so that they can select functionality to suit their exact needs. For existing customers, the upgrade is easily achieved in the form of a simple expansion board that can be inserted in any ME5009 DCC controller. See video of Metrog XG software here
