Master Chemical’s TRIM MicroSol 690XT is boron-free

The specific and changing needs of the aerospace sector, in particular the adoption of new, lightweight exotic alloys and advanced composites, has led Master Chemical to develop Trim MicroSol 690XT. This boron- and formaldehyde-free micro-emulsion is said to meet the latest production requirements of aero engine and aero structure manufacturers and their subcontractors.

This product has been formulated to provide higher mechanical lubricity for the gummy materials that are commonly seen in aero structure manufacturing, while also providing elevated levels of extreme pressure additives for machining harder aero engine materials. According to Master Chemical, this makes the product a good alternative to high mineral oil content cutting fluids when used on aerospace alloys, where increased machine cleanliness and low top-up rates decrease overall production costs.

Trim MicroSol 690XT is compatible with materials that include steels, copper, aluminium alloys, plastics and composites.
