Axis travels in X are up to 28.1 m, with Y at 7.3 m and a moving slide ram Z-axis of 1.5 m. In addition, the spindle ram extension travel (W) is 1 m, while a rotary B-axis table can also be specified, with this carried on a separate 3.3 m stroke V-axis.
Powered by a 60 kW motor with some 40,000 Nm of torque, the CAT 50 taper, 170 mm diameter spindle provides a speed range between 10 and 2,500 rpm. Furthermore, the headstock offers a programmable, adjustable mounting platform for attachments that enable integrated individual processes within the cycle.
