GF release System 3R Transformer scalable automation system
GF Machining Solutions' System 3R Transformer is a scalable automation platform based on standardized modules that is designed to ensure a greater return on capital investments. Transformer allows users to begin with one or two machines and later add up to 12 machines in a single cell. The machines do not have to be the same make or type.
Open architecture is one of the system's clear advantages. Users select the machine or machines that best meet the specific manufacturing requirements and Transformer – custom configured to end user needs – complements that choice.
The system handles workpieces and/or electrodes that are mounted on pallets. System 3R offers a range of such systems that provide solutions to palletise workpieces in the same cell by using chuck adapters. In addition, Transformer can handle different tooling systems, so it can be configured even if there is a tooling system already in place.
