Ametek launches Taylor Hobson Surtronic S-Series

The Surtronic S-100 Series, a robust, portable roughness tester introduced by Ametek Taylor Hobson, features a 4.3 inch daylight readable display and with a colour touchscreen user interface with intuitive proprietary software. Industry-standard USB and USB mini ports provides wide connectivity.

The Taylor Hobson Surtronic S-100 Series provides a 50 mm stylus lift with right-angle attachment and a stylus reach of over 70 mm. This enables the user to avoid additional investment in riser blocks, stands or fixtures. The stylus can also measure upside down. Roughness measurements for multiple parts can either be stored internally or saved to a standard USB memory device. The USB port also can also be used to attach the instrument to a portable printer. This allows printed data to accompany a part to the next stage of manufacture. The mini port can be used to charge the device with any standard USB charger or for connection to a PC for data analysis and reporting. The tester's rubberised, impact-resistant body with comfort grip, surrounds the recessed, Mylar-protected high durability touchscreen. The solid stainless steel drive mechanism is equipped with anti-wear gears and bearings.
