The OKK VC-X350 vertical machining centre has been developed for machining high alloy materials and is pitched at complex mould and die type applications. The machine, which is available in the UK from 2D CNC Machinery, is also suitable where precision turning needs to be combined as part of a 5-axis cycle, by utilising the direct drive rotation of the trunnion mounted C-axis at up to 1,000 rpm.
With axis travels of 600 by 430 by 460 mm, and rapid traverse rates of 50 m/min in X and Y, and 36 m/min in Z, the OKK VC-X350 offers as standard a 7.5 kW spindle drive with a speed range between 100 and 12,000 rpm.
The trunnion unit has a 350 mm diameter rotary table with the tilting A-axis enabling -120° to +30° of movement with 1,500 Nm hydraulic clamping.
