Following its series of spring 2015 Open Houses in Devon (11 March), Blackburn (18 March) and Livingston (22 April), XYZ is also planning two additional days specifically for education. They will take place on 21 April in Devon and 23 April in Nuneaton.

"All of our visitors on these days will be able to discuss that next step, whether that is manual machines or CNC machining, including the XYZ ProtoTRAK manual/CNC machines and more advanced equipment such as the XYZ vertical machining centres and turning centres," says Kerry Kidd, educational sales director, XYZ Machine Tools.

In addition to machine demonstrations, visitors will also have the opportunity to discuss a range of associated technologies, such as the application of the use of DXF and Parasolid software systems, with detailed presentations on a variety of software applications.

Many of the 200 UK universities, colleges and training establishments that have installed XYZ machines in their workshops have also entered into educational partnerships with XYZ.

"The additional support provided by XYZ through its Educational Partnerships is significant and provides additionallearning resources, from technical manuals to face-to-face training for technicians, trainers and students alike," says Kerry Kidd. "All members of our UK Training Team are time-served engineers who have vast knowledge of our products, particularly the ProtoTRAK and Siemens controls."
