Warwick Machine Tools has significantly strengthened the pre- and post-sales support offered to customers across the UK, following the appointment of Robert Kemp to the position of field service engineer.

Mr Kemp joins Paul Barry in the service department, who has been with the company for over 25 years and has a wealth of experience on all ONA wire-cut and die-sink EDM machine tools. A qualified and experienced engineer, Mr Kemp has over 10 years' EDM service experience, gained with a leading Japanese machine tool manufacturer. "I started out refurbishing EDM machines to a high standard for re-sale all over the UK and Ireland, a role which also involved training new engineers, covering how the machines operated and providing instructions on maintenance and repair. "After refurbishing over 40 machines, I was assigned a service engineer role, which included commissioning, inspecting and repairing machines on customer premises, with various mechanical, electrical and software problems." The WMT Service Department supports the company's recently created EDM Service Plan, a yearly service plan that guarantees a fixed-price on labour and parts for a period of two years. It provides a schedule service visit to take care of wire-cut or die-sink EDM machines.
