Master Chemical TRIM MicroSol 585XT coolant gets Rolls-Royce approval

1 min read

Rolls-Royce has given its full CSS 127 supply specification approval to Master Chemical's TRIM MicroSol 585XT semi-synthetic micro emulsion.

Developed at the Master Chemical Corporation laboratories in USA, in partnership with major aerospace companies, this cutting and grinding fluid is formaldehyde donor free and contains no chlorinated or sulphurised EP additives. TRIM MicroSol 585XT gives the performance of a premium soluble oil, with respect to tool life, without compromising parts quality through residue build-up. It also provides excellent cooling and mechanical lubrication, which is particularly important in the production of aerospace parts. The commonly used titanium alloys are poor thermal conductors and any heat generated during the cutting process can dull cutting tools very quickly. This is why the good lubrication provided by this latest MicroSol coolant is essential to extending tool life and reducing process costs. Particularly well suited for machining other aerospace alloys such as inconels and 7000 series aluminiums, TRIM MicroSol 585XT is now listed in the Rolls-Royce Global Approved Consumables Catalogue.
