Horn offers next-day guarantee
From 1 January 2009 Horn Cutting Tools Ltd, Ringwood will be offering free guaranteed next-day delivery on standard tooling orders over £50 net, for orders placed before 6.30 pm.
The offer follows a major investment at Horn GmbH in a computer controlled storage and stock control system and a new order packing line, capable of handling 20 orders simultaneously.
The development is the latest step in a rolling program of computerised systems integration and customer service improvement by Horn. Massive investment in a major manufacturing reorganisation in Germany has been targeted at maximising flexibility, optimising quality and slashing response times.
“Our customers need us to provide rapid response to their orders to help them maintain competitiveness. Launching the guaranteed next-day service underlines our commitment to supporting manufacturing in the UK,” said Mike Green, general manager, Horn Cutting Tools at Ringwood.
