Delcam added more than 50 extra staff to its international workforce during 2013, making a total of more than 700 employees within the organisation by the end of the year.

In addition, well over 100 more people are employed in Delcam's Joint Venture companies in Europe and Asia. The largest of these companies, Delcam's successful Korean Joint Venture, Hankook Delcam, has over 50 staff. Just under half of the new positions were created at Delcam's headquarters in Birmingham, with the others added at the company's 15 international subsidiaries in Europe, America and Asia. The new staff were employed across the company's activities, with extra jobs introduced in software development, customer support, consultancy services and sales. The growth in staff numbers during the year reflected the increase in Delcam's sale, which saw the company achieve record sales for the six-month first-half period of £25.0 million, with that performance meaning that the company set new record levels of sales in seven consecutive half-year periods. The extra recruits also consolidated Delcam's status as the largest organisation in the CAM industry. This position was confirmed in the latest NC Software Market Analysis Report from leading US analysts CIMdata, which reported that Delcam had by far the largest number of staff devoted to CAM software of any supplier. According to the report, no other company employs more than 300 people for its CAM activities. The report also confirmed that Delcam employs the largest development team in the industry, with well over 200 people working on the company's manufacturing software. The next largest CAM development team was reported to have 130 people, below two-thirds of the Delcam total. Further expansion at Delcam is planned for 2014, with the continuing recovery in global manufacturing, in particular in the aerospace and automotive industries, meaning that more sales people will be needed to meet demand for the company's manufacturing software, while more technical staff will be required to train and support Delcam's growing number of customers. "We are always on the lookout for experienced sales and support staff with a background in machining software or equipment," commented Delcam's commercial director, Bart Simpson. "The increased interest in our software and services, driven by our customers' desire to improve their productivity with our unique solutions, means we need to add more staff to satisfy this ever growing demand. We are especially keen to add more people for our sales teams in our international subsidiaries, as well as continuing the growth of our development staff in the UK."
