Schunk introduces new Tribos-RM clamping toolholder range

Tribos-RM tool holder is an extension to the Tribos product range. The new design is suitable for spindle speeds up to 50,000 rpm with a clamped tool concentricity of better than 0.003 mm. Small diameter cutters operating at spindle speeds up to 50,000 rpm and feed rates up to 20 m/min have comfortably demonstrated vibration dampening qualities. The Tribos-RM toolholders are available as standard for machine spindle interfaces HSK-E 25, HSK-E 32 and HSK-E 40. Comparable systems for this kind of application prove to be more expensive than the whole Tribos-RM package, including the clamping device and accessories, says Schunck.
