High speed hard metal five-axis machining
Sodick’s HS650L linear motor-driven 5-axis high speed machining centre incorporates a new 5-axis table designed for both high-accuracy and high speed hard milling.
The machine is designed and built for the precision machining of larger scale moulds and dies and can machine materials up to 70HRC with a 10 RMS surface finish.
Sodick’s high speed mills use linear motors, providing high acceleration (1.2G) and high axis speed.
The 40,000 rpm oil-air lubricated spindle is designed to run at a high rpm, while maintaining rigidity and without over-heating. HSK-E32 shrink-fit toolholding is standard.
