The PP2300/2400 cartesian arm handling system has a compact design with a backlash-free system of three linear axes (PP2300) that can be optionally fitted with an additional rotary axis (PP2400).
The silent and precise unit contains a media feed-through that can be used to feed gases and liquids, or for forwarding electrical signals.
The linear axes have dust protection covers and a sealed cover for the rotation axis and the control unit so that the entire series can also be used in applications with strict requirements in terms of freedom from dust or guaranteed hygiene. This makes the PP2300/2400 handling system suitable for applications in laboratory automation, laser processing, medical technology, or for pick-and-place tasks with optional optical inspection.
The PP2300/2400 is easy to integrate into machines and systems and can also be used as a stand alone system - all that is required is a power supply and a laptop. The PP2300/2400 handling system allows a working area of up to 1000 by 400 by 240 mm to be covered to a resolution of 8 µm and repeat accuracy of +/- 0.05 mm.
The PP2300 can move weights up to 5 kg, while its sister module equipped with a rotary axis can cope with maximum loads of 3.5 kg. The maximum angle of rotation of the rotary axis is +/-270° and the maximum speed in both versions is 1 m/s, with an acceleration rate of 3m/s².
