WorkNC CAM software halves dental prosthesis machining time

Visitors to the Dental Forum 2020 exhibition in France this week will see how their machining times for prosthesis can be halved with WorkNC Dental, Hexagon's specialised CAM solution for the industry. The trade show, which attracts around 4,000 visitors, will take place at the Parc Floral Paris-Vincennes from 12 to 14 March.

Exhibiting on Stand E95/E94, WorkNC Dental will demonstrate its latest version of the open and automatic solution for producing dental prostheses. WorkNC Dental belongs to Hexagon’s production software portfolio, and is equipped with a range of optimised and customised machining processes for different dental jobs, based on the materials, tools and machines used.

The 2020 version of the software integrates many automatic functions to reduce production costs. Managing the machining process, especially for implantology and mobile applications, reduces preparation times and optimise material and tool costs.

According to Laurent Journeau, business manager of WorkNC Dental, the use of newly developed Hexagon production technologies, such as 'waveform' roughing tool paths for the production of titanium and stellite workpieces, cuts machining time by more than half.

WorkNC Dental can be fully integrated into dental CAD systems for simple or complex applications, connected to the user’s management system or, in client/server mode, deployed to manage complete production from multiple WorkNC Dental stations.
