Trumpf to promote tube profiling and sheet bending at Southern Manufacturing

1 min read

Trumpf says that visitors to stand D230 at Southern Manufacturing 2020 (Farnborough, 11-13 February) will be able to discover more about the company’s tube profiling and sheet bending technologies.

Tubes and profiles are used in many applications, from mechanical engineering and system construction, through to the furniture industry, and at Southern Manufacturing Trumpf will be focusing on how its TruLaser Tube machines can open up new design possibilities.

If high speed tube cutting is a priority, Trumpf’s solid-state laser machines provide a distinct advantage, especially when cutting thin sheet. The company’s Fiber model range builds on this solid-state capability to ensure short processing times for a range of parts. A good example is the Trumpf TruLaser Tube 7000 Fiber for extra-large tubes.

With this flexible high-end machine, manufacturers can cover a broad range of parts and investigate new areas of application for laser tube cutting. The machine cuts tubes and profiles with diameters up to 254 mm and wall thicknesses up to 10 mm (for mild steel).

The second area of focus on the stand will be bending. Trumpf now has an extensive portfolio of bending machines that extends from the TruBend 7000 series for small parts, to the TruBend 3000 and 5000 series for processing medium and large-scale components with a press force of up to 3,200 kN.

Visitors will also learn how Trumpf Smart Services, such as ‘Easy Order’ and ‘Remote Service’, can simplify their daily work. There will also be opportunities to explore the advantage of the MyTrumpf customer portal.
