AEL (Dorset), Blandford Forum has purchased a Tornos Deco 20s from Tornos Technologies UK at the French Simodec exhibition last month (7-11 March).

Launched in 2005, the 20s is designed to execute relatively complex parts up to 20 (25.4) mm diameter. Already a Tornos user with a Deco 20a, the sub-contract manufacturer serves the aerospace, electronics, medical and defence sectors and purchased the Deco 20s to provide added capacity for its rapidly growing success. “We are looking forward to taking delivery of the new machine. The current Tornos Deco 20a has assisted us in recently achieving a Gold Standard Award from the Mars Corporation for delivery and quality,” said director David Ross. “The Deco 20a went a long way to helping us achieve this. We are delighted to receive such a prestigious award particularly as it demonstrates appreciation for the hard work and diligence of all team members associated with this customer. As directors, we can set the vision and encourage all to strive for perfection but in the final analysis, it is the quality of equipment and efforts of the people who guarantee success,” Mr Ross concluded.
