Shenyang Machine Tool (Group) Co Ltd (SMTCL) and EdgeCAM, a Planit Metals company, have signed a strategic partnership agreement through which SMTCL recognises Pathtrace's EdgeCAM as its globally preferred CAM solution to support its comprehensive range of metal cutting machine tools.

As part of an expanding service, SMTCL investigated CAM software to complement its range of machine tools. This partnership will also benefit SMTCL in new research opportunities and joint promotions.” Worldwide sales director for Planit Metals, Steve Sivitter, added: “We greatly appreciate and value our co-operation with the biggest machine tool company in China. Our partnerships both with SMTCL and other leading machine tool companies illustrate why EdgeCAM maintains its position as a global leader, particularly in the field of complex production machining.
