Short shank GOmill end mills from Kennametal

The GOmill line of end mills, from Kennametal, has a short-shank style resulting in extremely stable operation and unequal flute spacing that reduces vibration and chatter. The result is increased metal-removing productivity and good surface finishes, for a wide range of metalworking applications.

Three versions of GOmill are available: a three-flute ball nose, a four-flute with chamfer, and a three-flute sharp. All feature a short shank for increased stability and rigidity, unequal flute spacing for reduced chatter and vibration, and advanced AlTiN coating for long tool life. "This is a completely new end mill concept from Kennametal, and represents the latest thinking in tool design, advanced coatings, and increased performance for shops of all sizes. Anyone requiring higher metal-removal rates at economical costs will benefit from giving GOmill end mills a try," says Oliver Sax, senior global product manager for solid end mills at Kennametal. "In short-location work or even advanced multi-axis mill-turn applications, GoMill end mills can cut faster and last longer than many existing end mills at a price-performance ratio that's often better than a regrind," Mr Sax added. Kennametal Inc. is a global supplier of tooling, engineered components, and advanced materials that are consumed in production processes. They provide customers with a broad range of technologically advanced tools, tooling systems, and engineering services. Kennametal products use highly complex metallurgy and materials science in tungsten carbide powders, high-speed steels, ceramics, industrial diamond and other materials that are particularly resistant to heat, abrasion, pressure and wear.
