Made with an ultra-fine carbide substrate and coated with a YG-1 tailored coating, 4G mills are said to demonstrate enhanced resistance to heat and oxidation.
Available with two, four or six flutes (with and without corner radius, or ballnose), 4G mill diameter sizes range from 0.1 to 25 mm. The cutters also come in short and long lengths, and with long reach, regular and long shanks, as well as extended neck variants for rib processing. In addition, the four-flute type has been designed with a multiple helix to reduce vibrations at higher speed.
