Yaskawa unveils MH600 robot for machine tending

The MH600 robot from Yaskawa has been designed for machine and press tending tasks, as well as other heavy payload applications. When used for loading and unloading of parts, MH600 robots can help eliminate the inconsistencies of manual processes for applications such as turning, milling and grinding.

The floor-mounted robot offers a 600 kg payload along with 2,942 mm of horizontal reach and 2,898 mm of vertical reach. Repeatability is ±0.3 mm.

Its energy-efficient design consumes up to 70% less power during motion, and delivers 25% savings during idle periods, compared to previous models. Cables and air lines are routed through base of the 6-axis MH600 robot to the upper arm to increase cable life, enhance safety and reduce teaching time.

Yaskawa says the robot has the ability to handle all types of workpiece materials, including metals, composites and polymers.
