WNT Mastermill A2420 milling cutters meet needs of chamfering and weld prep
The Mastermill A2420 series of milling cutters have joined the WNT range as part of the Mastertool programme. Offering a large choice of angles and almost 30 mm length of cut, they are aimed at the special requirements of large, heavy duty, fabrication applications involving large chamfers or weld preps.
The Mastermill A2420 cutters are available with cut angles of 15, 30, 45, 60 and 75º making them suitable for most chamfering and weld preparation applications. The cutters make use of a 15 mm edge length indexable insert in a double row of pockets, giving a maximum chamfer length of 29.6 mm in a single pass.
In addition to the15 mm edge length of the inserts used in the Mastermill A2420 cutters, they are also available in 10 different grades ensuring optimum performance across a wide range of materials from steel, through cast iron to heat resistant materials. Along with the choice of carbide grade WNT has also made the inserts available with a choice of four chipbreaker forms to provide maximum swarf control and improve cutter performance.
