The Widia VariMill GP (general-purpose) solid carbide end-mill is said to be suitable for roughing, semi-finishing and finishing in materials that include aluminium, steels, stainless steels and cast irons. The key benefits to manufacturing companies include reduced inventory and tool management on machines.

Consisting of 2- and 4-flute versions in square-end, chamfered-edge and ball-nose configurations, VariMill GP end-mills feature a 30° helix angle and eccentric relief to provide strong edges and stability, says Widia, while a thick TiAlN coating contributes to extended tool life.

VariMill GP mills are available in inch and metric sizes along with varying lengths and shank styles.
