Walter GB's negative wiper insert range
Walter GB's XNGX, precision-ground, negative wiper insert range, combines rough and finish passes on cast iron and steel, creating a flat surface with high orders of surface finish.
The range provides an extremely sharp cutting edge with high durability and can be fitted into the standard insert seating of several Walter milling cutters. These include F2010 cartridge-type milling cutter, F4033 face mill with a 45° approach angle, F4047 with a 75° approach cutter, and F4048 with an 88° approach angle.
The insert, which has two cutting edges, protrudes by 0.03 mm beyond the other indexable inserts in the cutter body and requires no further adjustment.
Available in PVD coated, WXH15 and WAK15 grades for milling cast iron, and WXM15 grade for steel, each of the wiper inserts is clearly marked "finish" on the respective cutting edge in order to provide easy identification and aid fitting to the pocket of the cutter body.
