VeriSens vision sensors focus on automation applications

Lambda Photometrics is offering three ranges of latest generation VeriSens visions sensors from Baumer for various applications in automation systems.

VeriSens ID series vision sensors are aimed at industrial identification and imprint control tasks. The ID-100 reads all standard 1D/2D and GS1 codes and is therefore suitable for controlling production sequences. ID-110 additionally enables text and date parameters to be checked for correctness and legibility (OCR/OCV). Check and sort tasks for quality control purposes, says Lambda Photometrics, are particularly easy to solve with the VeriSens CS-100 in the CS series. For example, it provides five digital outputs which enables it to check components for various characteristics and sort them directly without external PLC requirements. The device's FEXLoc technology provides reliable 360° position tracking of variable component positions. The VeriSens XF series, meanwhile, is said to offer the high performance of a vision system but is as easy to use as a vision sensor. The extensive functions of the XF-100 and XF-200 make it possible, for instance, to validate component geometries, locate parts or check the form, content and correct labelling of packaging. All latest generation VeriSens vision sensors, which are capable of performing up to 3,000 evaluations per minute, are integrated into an industrially robust IP 67 protective metal housing. Intuitive operating software permits flexible operation to meet changing requirements and applications.
