Vargus Tooling adds to Groovex GM Slot groove milling insert offering
Vargus Tooling UK has extended its range of Groovex GM Slot groove milling tools to accommodate minimum bore diameters from 22.7 mm and grooving depths up to 3.25 mm with the 11V insert, and minimum bore diameters from 16.7 mm and grooving depths up to 2.5 mm with the 9V insert.
These inserts are designed for same set-up boring and face milling in addition to grooving and chamfering.
The three flute GM Slot inserts can be supplied TiCN- or TiAIN-coated and can accommodate square and round grooving, as well as chamfering. They use either Weldon or carbide cylindrical shank toolholders.
GM Slot complements the Vargus range of groove milling tools that includes GM Solid, Mini-V and SGM.
