Vargus expands Groovex range with GrooVical indexable inserts
GrooVical indexable inserts for high performance internal and external grooving and parting off applications are the latest additions to Vargus Tooling's Groovex range.
Available from Vargus Tooling in a variety of profiles – square and round, as well as specials – the GrooVical GV26 is suitable for groove widths of 0.5 to 2 mm and groove depths to 5 mm, while the GV29 is suitable for groove widths of 2 to 6 mm and depths up to 6.5 mm.
Insert geometry features three cutting corners and inserts are supplied in VKX grade with a tough substrate and TiN coating for increased wear resistance and improved tool life.
GrooVical toolholder styles to suit a variety of applications incorporate a novel rigid clamping system for corner support and rigidity. All toolholders are nickel coated for protection against rust and corrosion.
