Turning insert geometry offers better chip control

UP geometry is a new turning geometry for stainless applications within the Kenna Perfect system. It features better chip control and improved notching resistance. The new product differs from the existing P-geometry by an optimised, more free cutting chip-breaker geometry in combination with the new KC9225 grade. The high positive cutting edge enables better chip flow and higher cutting speeds. The open chip-breaker geometry provides a soft cutting action which improves tool life due to the lower cutting forces. The UP geometry in combination with Kenna Perfect is recommended for applications in the flange industry, chemical industry, medical and food industry as well as in the oil and petrochemical industry.
