Threadmills for tough materials
JBO’s GFS ST and GFM ST Threadmills offer high machining rates for materials such as stainless-duplex to titanium and Inconel.
The GFS-GFM multi-flute offers some 200-300 per cent extra tool life and fast machining times, especially in tough materials.
The new GFM has been developed to eliminate tool vibration and can also be used on lathe-driven tooling for one-hit machining.
Long tool reach applications are also helped by the new geometries using high pressure NT chucks, as well as shrink holders. So, for example, where long tooling is required to overcome fixture protrusion, tools up to 100-160 mm in length will still provide a quality end result.
