Tebis set to release Version 4.0 of its CADCAM software

This summer will see the launch of Tebis Version 4.0 CADCAM software. Enhancements include a newly developed user interface that enables the operator to display and hide menus in the function panel, as needed, while work surfaces can be individually customised, stored and managed. Version 4.0 will also suggest work environments designed for specific applications.

Further highlights will include the automated processing of small parts such as coiling and trim steels or inserts. Here, the often separately provided die surfaces and solid data of the individual parts can be combined to a single unit, which then matches the finished part.

The software uses wall thicknesses and machining actions to calculate a total surface, while contour surfaces and any required resets are also generated automatically. As a result, companies making thousands of small parts every year could enjoy substantial time savings, says Tebis.
