Starrett AV300 plus puts vision measurement quality on a solid foundation

The Starrett AV300 plus system features an integral precision granite base to eliminate vibration plus extended travel in the Z column for improved measurement performance. The unit has a servo driven 300 by 150 mm platform and a range of 200 mm on the Z-axis. It also includes a 12 to 1 zoom lens, high resolution digital colour camera and user's choice of fibre optic or LED illumination.

The Starrett AV300 plus is powered by QC5300 software to handle a variety of multi sensor applications including an optional touch probe or laser probe. One of the more popular options is the incorporation of a mounted laser sensor. The Kono probe is a high precision konosonic optic sensor used for distance, surface contour, 2D profile, thickness and 3D measurements. In addition it has up to 170º angular range in all directions and has a PSRV function that allows the laser to scan and measure semi-translucent material such as dental materials, wax or plastic materials. Other examples of the Kono probe application include learning edge measurement for the inspection of turbine blades, tyre grooves and the use of auto focus for the inspection of filling levels and welding applications. Larger format AV300 models, using a 350 by 350 mm platform and a range of 200 mm range on the Z axis, are also available.
