SinterGrip’s teeth provide at-the-edge solid stable workpiece holding

SMW Autoblok has launched OML's SinterGrip inserts, which meet the demand for a device capable of achieving safe clamping at the edge of hard steel, aluminium or titanium workpieces. The SinterGrip, which requires only a 3.5 mm clamping area, is non-deforming and does not involve the use of a special machine or tool, or pre-machining.

SinterGrips are solid carbide serrated inserts with a tapered triangular form. The pyramid shape is equipped with two-angle teeth that penetrate into the workpiece material and create a pull-down effect to provide a precise, solid, stable connection between the vice and workpiece. The system can be used with the company's quick change Clak system and with other mechanical, mechanical-hydraulic or hydraulic clamping systems. Video shows Sintergrip in use
