Shorter toolholders give extended Z-axis capacity

The 'ERA Zero-Z' toolholders from REGO-FIX have the shortest possible protrusion length in order to ensure a larger processing path in the Z-axis or to work on larger workpieces when space is at a premium. 'Zero-Z' is based on the REGO-FIX ER clamping system. Zero-Z toolholders are ideal for machining centres, multiplex turning machines and small vertical milling centres. There are currently two versions of the Zero-Z collet holder: BT 30/ERA 20 x 22 mm, BT40/ERA 32 x 27 mm, CAT40 / ER 32 x 19 mm and CAT50 / ER 32 x 19 mm. As a result, a holder with a maximum length of 27 mm for tools up to 20 mm in diameter is required. This is made possible by the specially developed, extremely short high-performance collet holder as well as the Hi-Q ERAX clamping nut which is flush with the toolholder. Its special coating allows it to achieve an extremely high transferable torque. This ERAX clamping nut has been specially developed for use in situations where there is insufficient space. With Zero-Z, REGO-FIX achieves G 2.5 at 22,000 rpm or better.
