When Schunk designed the Pronto quick jaw change system for conventional lathe chucks, the remit was to lower set-up time for a complete jaw set to 30 seconds. The newly developed product line for screw connected chuck jaws achieves this comfortably, says Schunk, reducing set-up times by 95%.
Pronto combines fine-serrated supporting jaws (1/16'' by 90° or 1.5 mm by 60°) with special quick-change inserts that extend the clamping diameter by up to 45 mm in seconds, says Schunk.
Different supporting jaw variants for small, medium and large clamping ranges are available. Pronto can be used on every fine-serrated lathe chuck diameters of 200, 250 and 315 mm.
