Schunk launches Rota NCX quick-change chuck

Schunk says that its Rota NCX power chuck features short cylinders to facilitate rapid jaw changes on CNC lathes without any machine conversion. According to the company, within 60 seconds, a jaw set can be replaced with a repeat accuracy of 0.02 mm. To ensure operational safety, the Schunk Rota NCX is equipped with a jaw locking system and jaw presence monitoring.

With an individual base jaw system, Schunk says that the Rota NCX is particularly appealing for users that do not yet work with a quick-change jaw chuck. Every type of standard top jaws with tongue and groove can be used.

The chuck is available in the sizes 165, 215, 260, and 315 mm, with a through-hole of diameter 53 to 106 mm, a jaw stroke from 3 to 6.3 mm, and a clamping force from 55 to 155 kN.
